Jumping Off the Carrier

Come with me.
Stand up.

Put down your cell phone.
Reach down grab your sex

With your right hand,
Hold your nose with your left,

Hold your breath.
And jump off

The aircraft carrier
Called Expectations

Forget the sharks below,
Hell, the fall will kill you.

Or at least that’s what it says
Everywhere on the ship.

As the carrier recedes above you
Look at all the luminescent life in the sea below!

  2. A dramatic poem. I’d still be thinking about those sharks while falling.
